Serving at FPYC

by Carolyn Lichtblau

If you'd like to serve at camp, in any of the following ways, for any number of sessions, please contact the Camp Caretakers to volunteer. Thank you for your heart to serve. May God bless you.

Cooks

We always try to put new cooks with those experienced with cooking here at camp.  We have all the recipes and notes for you to use in a cookbook here at camp, or bring your own cookbook.   There is a benefit offered to cooks which is a little different than teachers, nurses, etc. As a cook, you come free, and your family camps at 1/2 fee the week you serve.  If you don't have family here the week you cook, you'll receive a 1/2 fee certificate that can be used at any time or year, for anyone you want.

Nurses

We actively seek EMTs, First Responders, RNs, or LPNs although the camp does not have a specific requirement for that type of care-giver. The care protocol around here is, when someone needs it - get them to the ER, then contact the parents. There are, of course, many minor cuts, bites, and scratches that need attention. You will also oversee the distribution of prescribed meds for campers. We have a complete list of duties and expectations that will be mailed out to you when you volunteer. The same "Teacher" discount is offered if you need that assistance/incentive.

Crafts

If you're the kind of person who has an endless supply of creativity and flair for all things artistic, we've got the dream job for you. The crafts room at FPYC is stock full of potential. When you volunteer, a letter will be sent out giving you a complete picture of the materials on hand and the duties of the position. The same "Teacher" discount is offered if you need that assistance/incentive.
