Teachers Along with the Counselors, our teachers are the most important component of camp. This simple fact is based on the purpose of camp and the role you fulfill. The camp aims to bring young people and families into closer relationship with God. Your role is directly involved in achieving this central goal. Thank you for your heart to serve. May God bless you. When you volunteer to teach at camp, you can expect some important support. A supply room is available with many of the essential materials: crayons, makers, pencils, different types of paper, etc. We have a photocopier and a computer/printer. The most important thing you can bring is a flexible attitude and big heart. One may never be too sure where their classroom will be or the number of students, better to over-prepare. If you'd like to teach at camp, note the week you'd like to serve and contact the director of that week. Here's a list of sessions. Note: you might also be expected to help a little during Crafts. There is a teacher discount.* The person teaching is free and their family comes for 1/2 fee the week they are teaching. If a couple both teach their family is still only 1/2 price the week they are teaching. This discount is extended to attract good teachers, and help defray some of costs of being a teacher at camp, * especially for families that really need it. Please consider coming, serving, and paying full fee as an added donation toward camp. Thanks. |
